DRDF designed and executed hydraulically operated elevator for the court No. 52 at the High Court of Justice Mumbai in 2006. The machine operates on simple hydraulic mechanism which is manually operated with very nominal effort. The installation imagery shows Nilesh Singit (Co-Founder, DRDF) mounting the machine using his wheelchair with the aide of small ramp. The platform is then hoisted to the required height using a mechanical foot pedal.

Hydraulic elevators are an effective solution to enable people with disability and the elderly to negotiate large and small level differences at the entry to a building or inside the building itself. Its relatively mobility when compared to temporary ramps makes it a highly portable and efficient device for achieving access.

DRDF is now in the process of developing new lightweight machines for the urban and rural markets in India.
