Aims and Objectives
The main aims and objects of the Disability Research and Design Foundation are as follows:

To promote and conduct research on issues / challenges / problems relating to design and access for persons with disabilities.

To disseminate / share / provide consultancy with regard to disability issues
*
To devise indigenous technological and design solutions in the fields of Universal Design / Architecture, Assistive Devices and Vehicular Design.
*
To build a comprehensible database of all the NGOs, institutions, professionals, advocacy and rights Foundations, working on disability related issues at the national or international levels.
*
To conduct advocacy and awareness programmes through access audits, film / documentaries and workshops.
*
To approach the various government authorities to ensure the implementation of the Disability Act and the various schemes that have been announced, and also for formulating additional schemes.
*
To network with organizations providing legal aid and ensure that the persons with disability benefit from this network as and when required.
*
To create awareness about the skills & creativity of persons with disabilities.
*
To extend whatever help and support possible to individuals with disability and other organizations working for the cause of disability.
*
To do all such other lawful acts, deeds of things that are incidental or conducive to the attainment of any of the above said objectives.
